Every single order placed at is hand-picked and packed by a member of our team in our Montréal warehouse. It’s staffed every day to ensure your delivery day comes as quickly as possible.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

First, let’s talk processing times. It typically takes 2-3 business days to process an order BUT that number may increase to up to 10 business days in higher volume periods.

A tracking number is assigned by the shipping carrier when your order is processed, and once it leaves our warehouse in Montréal, Quebec (woohoo!) you’ll receive an email with your tracking information.

Shipping times depend on Canada Post and typically look like this:

Just a friendly reminder from one tea lover to the next: we unfortunately don’t have control over delivery times once we hand it over. That means if you have concerns about shipping delays, you’ll need to reach out to the carrier directly for any updates—we really wish we could help get it to you even faster, but our focus is on making sure we get it out the door as quick as we can!

How much does shipping cost?

Tearrific news! We offer free shipping on orders over $49. All other orders ship at a flat rate of $8.99.

Where do you ship to? Who delivers my tea?

We currently ship within Canada via Canada Post and FedEx (from our Canadian site) and to the US via USPS and FedEx (from our US site). We’re unable to choose alternative carriers or ship to other countries at this time.

How can I track my shipment?

Visit our Order Status page at any time for an update on the status of your order, using the tracking number from your email.

You can also sign-up for SMS notifications once you get your tracking number.

My order didn’t arrive. What do I do?

We got you! What you’re going to want to do is check the tracking information you received via email from the carrier. This will let you know where your package is currently located and its estimated (or updated) arrival.

If your order says it was delivered and you can’t find it, please contact the carrier directly.

My order was re-shipped to DAVIDsTEA. What happens next?

If your order was returned to sender, it’s most likely due to an incomplete address, leaving the shipping carrier unable to deliver to your doorstep.

Here are some tips and tricks on how to make sure your order gets to you successfully:

  • Please verify that your address is the one registered with Canada Post.
  • If you live in a building that requires a unit number, please make sure this is included. Please include your unit number before the street address (e.g., 215-123 Avenue B).
  • If your package is left at your local post office, please retrieve it at your earliest convenience. Most post offices will only hold your package for 5 business days before returning it to sender.
