Matcha
demystified
What's matcha and why is it good for me?
Whether you like it hot or as an iced green tea latte, matcha has the
power to both calm the mind and energize the body.

How is matcha different from regular green tea?
Matcha powder is made from finely ground green tea leaves. That means that with every sip, you’re actually consuming all the benefits of the full leaf.

Where does our matcha come from?
Our matcha is sourced from the Nishio region of Japan’s Aichi prefecture, an area renowned for years as one of the world’s best matcha producers.

How is our matcha made?
Making matcha powder is a labour of love that starts with shading tea plants for up to three weeks before plucking, which increases the caffeine and L-theanine levels in the tea leaves. The leaves are then steamed, dried, deveined and carefully ground to a fine powder – ready to be whisked into hot water and enjoyed.
The miracles of matcha

The miracles
of matcha

Every sip you take contains whole leaf benefits.
When we think about matcha green tea, we often associate it with its benefits just as much as its bright and grassy flavour.

The perfect way to kickstart your day.
Matcha is a powerhouse hailed for its antioxidant effects, along with its energizing, detoxifying and natural metabolism-boosting properties.

Matcha is a great coffee alternative.
Matcha contains less caffeine than an average cup of coffee and yet still gets the job done. Many believe that the caffeine in matcha metabolizes differently, providing a more sustained energy release since you’re ingesting the entire leaf.
