<span itemprop="description">I was enticed by the name of the tea and the description but from the first cup out of the bag, I was disappointed. It underperformed. I agree with the sour taste that I've seen in other reviews. I agree with one of the reviewers who said that it was a chore to get through the bag. I just made my last cup out of a 2oz bag that I've muddled through since November, and I'm glad I am finished with the tea. I am not sure if it is the apple/citric acid or the stevia, but the tea is neither caramel nor shortbread. It's just sour with an odd aftertaste. Sorry, David's Tea, there are others of your tea that I like quite a bit but not this one.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I've been waiting all year for this to come back. One of my all-time David's flavors. Very caramelly, buttery, nutty-tasting. So satisfying! I usually don't like teas that come with stevia or other alternative sweeteners but this one is subtle. I think the sourness that some people taste comes from the apples. It's true, you can taste the apples (if you ever had apple herbal teas, it has similar notes). But to me the slight tang is a nice counterpoint to the sweet notes and somehow makes the sweetness stand out even more. Now, off to stock up!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I tried this tea in 2018 when I purchased a 2 oz pack to try and at first I kind of liked it, but was hesitant. However, the more I drank of it, the more I liked it and enjoyed it. I found it was the perfect accompaniment to a plate of Walker's shortbread cookies, which I serve frequently when friends stop by. It's actually a lovely tea with most non-chocolate based desserts and treats. It has a sweet crispness, plus a light type of creamy flavor. As a result of that 2 oz bag, this became a staple in my pantry, and I love it even more today, over a year later. It's quite complimentary with almond based items, light cakes, caramels, or anything else running along that flavor trajectory.</span>

<span itemprop="description">The other reviews about a sour taste are correct. At first I thought it was an artificial flavor from the stevia, but sour and off-putting is a better way to put it. The smell is so enticing, but it's hard to finish a cup. Will not be repurchasing.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Had high hopes for this tea but was let down almost immediately when I first opened it. The texture in the bag was like a clumpy granola mix that was hard to remove thanks to excess moisture. The smell is overwhelming but from a distance it smells fantastic. However each time I've brewed a cup I've been consistently let down by the unexpected sour taste that overpowers any of the sweet and buttery notes. I hope this recipe will be revised.</span>

I was afraid they wouldnt bring it back, but I checked today and ITS BACK! Soooo, I just ordered 22 oz. And I will again. And again. Until it goes away. Hope I can hoard enough to get me through 2021.</span>

I know the company is based mainly in Canada with some U.S. stores. And those are mainly east coast. They have really good tea, and the caramel shortbread is really good.
