A sharp, jagged edge protrudes from the underside of the handle, exactly where one would place their hand to grasp the mug. I have attempted to contact David&rsquo;s Tea countless time through both their phone line and live chat and after waiting hours on multiple times I have yet to speak to a real human. The customer service at David&rsquo;s Tea is completely non-existent. I've been using it all day today. Its holds a lot of liquid for western style brewing. The Steeper Basket that comes with it does an excelent job of letting your tea leaves fully unfurl and give all they have to offer, especially if you're having a 'Garden to Cup' Tea, such as a Sencha, etc. It's actually quite mesmerizing to watch. The lid is great for covering while steeping, and for holding your steeper in between steeps, as well keeping your tea warm in between sips! Cleaning the steeper is easy. Turn it upside down and just plop the bulk of the tea leaves onto a paper towel. Then, turn it upside down and run some hot water over it. It will be as shiny and new as when you purchased it! I love the ordinary ceramic nature of this mug. I have an aversion to using glass with hot liquids, so this was perfect. It has a very nice, grip-able texture on the outside, so I no longer have any excuse to be a spilly drinker! So far, so good! I would say it&rsquo;s more of a winter white or extremely pale light grey with a very slight pale, pale green hue to it&hellip; for that reason I gave 4 stars instead of five. It&rsquo;s a beautiful mug nonetheless. Just the right amount of tea. Especially the textured ones, love the colours and they display so much nicer than the colour changing ones that just look black on the shelf.
