<span itemprop="description">Santa’s Secret is absolute favourite tea. I stock up on it every year so that it lasts well beyond the holiday season. I was desperately waiting for it to be back in stock, ordered 300g of it, and unfortunately it is NOT THE SAME tea! I could tell by looking at the tea that there is a lot more green and less rich black tea in it. And you can absolutely tell by the taste. It is weak, not full rich flavour like it used to be. If I wanted a light peppermint tea I would have ordered that. So extremely disappointed that it was advertised as the same tea. Warning: it is absolutely NOT!</span>

<span itemprop="description">For many years I was buying Santa’s Secret Tea as presents for all my friends for a Holiday Season. I usually did it in the store located near by. As all locations of David’s Tea were closed in my area, I decided to order it online. The package came in time but I was very disappointed with the quality of tea. The flavour that makes this tea so special for Christmas was barely noticeable, tiny chunks of candy canes were of pale pinkish colour, like they were stored somewhere for ages. My excitement went down after first sip of tea… I will save my memories about previous years, but won’t buy this tea any more.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I have been ordering this tea for years and it is my go to winter tea. I always order enough to get me through the cold months and it kicks off my holiday festivities! I opened my first pack today was so disappointed in the taste. What has happenend? You had such an amazing product and now it is weak in taste, not very much peppermint or sweet taste, and leaves an artificial after-taste in your mouth. Please, please, please go back to your original recipe...until then I will be returning all the of the bags I have already ordered. Bah Humbug!</span>

<span itemprop="description">As mentioned by other reviewers, the formula has been changed for this year so it no longer tastes/smells the same and is actually medium caffeine rather than high despite what the product listing says.
The smell is a bit artificial and off-putting, even to people who have not had Santa's Secret in the past. The was confirmed by doing a blind taste/smell test between the old one and new one. This might be the difference between the "natural and artificial vanilla flavouring" vs the "artificial (vanilla, cream) flavouring" ingredient but I'm not positive on that.
The new one also says it is a product of Germany rather than USA.
Allegedly this change allows the product to be part of the Ethical Tea Partnership, but it's unfortunate that it had to be so drastically altered. In previous years I purchased 50 bags to get me through the year, but now I won't be getting any more.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Santa's Secret is my favorite tea and I usually stock up for the year. I just purchased and it doesn't taste the same. Its weaker flavoured, lacking its normal richness and has a weird after taste. I'm so disappointed. I'm not sure what they did to the recipe or if they changed a supplier for an ingredient but it tastes wrong. If you're expecting your usual amazing cup of tea, you'll likely be disappointed</span>

<span itemprop="description">This was given today in store as free sample (no sweetener). This was AMAZINGm coign for someone who doesn't't drink black teas. I think this is a new formula, I noticed the ingredients don't match the bag image vs what's on website here... I taste the mint, but it was a different delightful creamy mint with the vanilla flavours and it was so good, didn't taste the black tea. I'm prob going back to go buy some tonight, that's how much I loved it. I compared this to candy cane crush I just purchased, and from a candy cane lover, this was WAY better, so shocked! Get this now!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I have loved Santa’s secret tea for the last several years. I have bought large amounts during the holidays season so that I can drink it all year. It was my absolute favorite. They have changed the recipe and it’s terrible now. I knew instantly by the smell. It now has a weird musty gross smell. I hoped it would taste the same but made one cup of tea and couldn’t bring myself to finish it. I’m so disappointed. I received it as a Christmas gift so I can’t return but I will likely throw away and definitely will not buy ever again. I do not recommend buying this tea. This tea was the main reason I shopped at David’s tea but I will need to take my business elsewhere now. Old delicious tea is the red packaging, new tea is the dark package.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I don't know what they did but if you had Santa's Secret last year, don't purchase more this year. The recipe has obviously changed and it is AWFUL! I bought 6 bags of tea and was planning to buy more because this has been my favourite tea for years. Unfortunately, I'm going to have 5 bags of tea sitting at the bag of the shelf before I finally just throw it out because it is really that bad. Why David's Tea would mess with the recipe of a proven seasonal top seller is beyond me. Badly done, David's, badly done.</span>
