This tea has absolutely no honey aroma, fragrance, notes, or flavour, not even subtly. It is a lovely straight black tea, and re-steeps very well. However, it really shouldn't be called called &quot;honey black&quot; just a strong black tea. I had three other people drink it, without telling them the name, to see if any of them could discern the honey note, and not a single one tasted it either. If you want a straight black tea, consider this, though it is a bit pricey for that. It's one of the finest black teas I've had in years. A subtle yet tender punch to the nether regions. It sneaks up on you like Santa Claus in the night. Unassuming rich tannins pour from the tea leaves to envelope your tastebuds with a flavour smoother than Barry White whispering lullabies to a newborn. He was right, I cannot get enough of this love. While on the pricier end of the spectrum, it's worth the cost you save in having to cut through the bitterness of other sub-par wanna-teas. Drinkable straight up without the bitter tinge at the end of a cupping will make you wonder where this tea has been all these years and whether or not you have any siblings you don't know about. It really is honeyed and naturally sweet. A really smooth cup, and it also resteeps well. It's really too bad I can't get it regularly, so I stock up whenever I see it on the shelves, and drink sparingly. I find a lot of black teas can have a bitterness to them after steeping so I was very happy to see this one did not have that. This tea is rich but has a nice hint of honey. It's not sweet but aromatic. I will use one perfect spoon and get a couple of mugs of tea. The leaves resteep very well. About two months ago, I stopped by the store in St. John&rsquo;s and had the best chat with a worker. She turned me on to black teas (her preference) and I just ended up loving the few that I picked up to try. This one is my very favourite tea ever!! I put the smallest drop of cream in it, just because I love cream in tea. It definitely has a honey note which makes it all the better. I highly recommend this for people who don&rsquo;t like artificially sweetened or flavoured tea drinks. Lol &lt;/3). The honey black is not acidic (unlike the irish), has a good strong black tea flavour and the honey taste and fragrance are DIVINE. This beautifully long-curled tea has personaliy and a distinctly unique taste without being necessarily bold. It's kind of halfway between a bright Orange Pekoe and a dark Nepal or Assam, and is not a rounded flavour but rather like a focused shot of delicious tea-ness. Definitely up there as a new favourite!!
