How to Steep

I don’t love the taste mostly because I’m not a big lover of coconut tea. I would say the first flavor I notice is coconut more than the caramel or chamomile or anything else. Another review mentioned eating the apple pieces after it is steeped and I do enjoy that, I generally try to pick a few out and throw them back in the tea to enjoy while I’m drinking it. Anyway for the relaxing purpose this tea is fantastic I would love to see some more Valerian flavors!!
Date published: 2020-09-12

Rated 5 out of 5 by cuppa tea from It really does work and its tasty too! I was not feeling settled at night for several nights so I went into David's tea. I got some recommendations from a very helpful David's tea employee who recommended Valerian nights, saying that her daughter and son-in-law worked shifts and it was really good. I have to say I was skeptical but I wanted to try something natural. WOW, not only did it taste good but it worked. I was so happy (especially after sleeping so well LOL) - the caramel flavour is really tasty and I love picking the apple pieces out and eating them once the tea is steeped. Once again, recommended to friends. Certainly not like some of the garden compost teas I have been so disappointed with. Thanks David's tea for a fabulous tea that really delivers on all fronts!
Date published: 2020-03-20

Rated 1 out of 5 by ThePuma007 from Somehow Both Soapy and Sour I got this as part of the Sleep Sampler and as soon as I opened the package, I knew it wasn't going to be good. The coconut is just so overwhelming to all the other flavours. It made it taste soapy. I don't think it's sweet like other people said but it was sour on top of the soapy. Just not a good combo. Did not like it. I honestly prefer the taste of valerian to the coconut, I feel like they tried to cover it up and it only made it worse. If they dial down the coconut and add something herbal or earthy, it will make it a lot better I think. Or even no coconut at all! How about cinnamon? Or ginger? Literally anything else. Upon making my first cup I noticed a strong odour but assumed I would adjust after a few sips. I had to stop drinking halfway through when the taste and smell became overwhelming and I realized it was similar to an alcoholic scent. I am assuming that either the mixture is vastly different to what it is supposed to be (as shown in a previous review, my bag contains primarily apple bits) or it has fermented which is causing the strong alcoholic scent and taste. Unfortunately I have not been able to contact David's Tea to come up with a solution.
