Having now tried this both hot and as an iced latte, I much preferred the latter. As a hot tea, this is a mild and licorice-dominant chai which doesn't bear that much resemblance to a root beer. Decent, but not what you expect based on the name, and with a slightly unpleasant aftertaste. As an iced latte, I found the creaminess from the milk balanced out the licorice, and I got more of the pu'erh and cinnamon on the finish - definitely reminiscent of a root beer float. BTW: Whoever it was that came up with the name "Radical" Root Beer deserves a raise; it took me a couple months to finally get the pun.
Date published: 2024-07-24

Rated 5 out of 5 by Garol from The best It tastes so much like rootbeer. I was really hoping this would be just as yummy... and it's actually even better, imho! It has the earthy, rootbeer flavour with a touch of a creaminess, too. It's especially delicious when you steep it extra strong, so you can make a tea pop with it (by adding in some sparkling water, club soda, or a similar product) or to even just make a yummy iced tea. I especially like it for a change in flavours for my iced teas. I mean, there are some flavours you see very often for teas that people ice the most, like peach, lemon, black tea, berries, tropicals, etc which are also delicious, but this is a unique flavour to mix it up a little! And if you are a heavy pop lover, I imagine that this tea, iced, as a tea pop might help curb your cravings for pop, and (obviously) it's a much healthier option! I have made it and shared it with my friend's kids (approx ages 8, 13, & 18) and all 3 liked it - and they all don't usually *love* iced teas or non-sweetened drinks. I have also tried it hot, and honestly, it was pretty decent! I liked it well enough bit still prefer a stronger/spicier ginger flavour If I am making a hot ginger flavoured tea. I definitely prefer it iced.
Date published: 2024-06-05

Radical Root Beer Tea Reviews - page 2

y_2024, m_10, d_30, h_8

bvseo_bulk, prod_bvrr, vn_bulk_3.0.42

cp_1, bvpage1

co_hasreviews, tv_6, tr_13

loc_en_CA, sid_11097DT01, prod, sort_[SortEntry(order=RELEVANCE, direction=DESCENDING)]

clientName_davidstea

bvseo_sdk, dw_cartridge, 18.2.0, p_sdk_3.2.0

CLOUD, getReviews, 4ms

reviews, product
