Lavender Buttercream Tea

The loose tea smelled medicinal in the bag, and this scent unfortunately lingered after brewing. When I tried to drink it, I didn't get any hints of lavender or buttercream. Oddly, I didn't even get notes of vanilla, pineapple, or rosehips in the tea, which make up some of the main ingredients. The tea itself is bitter and very difficult to drink. My partner, who loves lavender and buttercream, agreed about the odd flavor. I wonder if there is too much stevia in here - although it's the last ingredient, even small amounts can add a really terrible aftertaste. I might try this again with a very short steep (2 minutes) or iced. It starts out with that lovely floral flavor and then it moves into a sweetness. The end note is super creamy. I prefer Lavender Swirl over this one, as rooibos isn&rsquo;t my favorite, but they&rsquo;re both spectacular. I tried it hot as a TOTD in shop, and immediately had to buy some. Out of the packet it smells lightly floral with a hit of vanilla. However, when you brew this it&rsquo;s a vaguely rooibos flavor with a bitter, astringent, grassy sort of taste. It&rsquo;s hard to describe. I don&rsquo;t get lavender buttercream at all. I love David&rsquo;s Tea but I have not liked one of their rooibos blends, and I love rooibos from other places. This is the first time trying this blend. I love it! To me, this is the perfect blend of slightly sweet, slightly floral, but refreshing and decadent...and made me feel &ldquo;lighter&rdquo; when drinking it.
