<span itemprop="description">Yes while Candy Cane Crush is one of my favorites, this will always hold a special place in my heart. It was one of the first holiday teas I ever tried from DAVIDsTEA. It is a lighter blend, not lighter as in a light flavor, but as in not too indulgent, because it focuses on the rich boldness from the black tea, a nice hint of peppermint not to weak, not to overpowering, and the subtlest hint of vanilla sweetness from the candy cane sprinkles. It's a flavor profile that works amazingly as a latter, or just black with no sweetener. Not too sweet at all and with a great peppermint flavor, Santa's Secret will forever be a holiday staple in my house.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Heads up to anyone who loves this tea as much as I used to: the recipe has changed. Rice flour has been added and it is now sickly sweet and just gets worse with every sip. Had to give up before finishing even one cup of the new batch. Even opening the bag I could tell something was different. It used to smell like Christmas, but now it just smells off. Couldn’t taste the light notes of peppermint or vanilla. It used to be my absolute favorite, but now it’s horrible. David’s Tea—why would you make such a change?! Please change it back next year?</span>

The peppermint is not overpowering (how you would typically expect in most teas w/ peppermint) leaving equal room for the black tea and vanilla flavors to come through. Also sweet enough on its own, I did not add any honey. I love it!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I count the days and look forward to Santas Secret returning each year. It’s my favorite, and stock up each season, which usually gets me to July/August. So sad… Its horrible with the recipe change. It burns my mouth, esophagus, and stomach. I can still feel the burn as I type. They must have put chile. It now has a very unpleasant chemical taste and smell. This christmas will not be the same, David choosing the wrong priorities as a company has lead you to this place, loosing customers.</span>

<span itemprop="description">After trying this tea, I stocked up on more. That light peppermint flavor is just enough to add a nice zing to this tea, and it smells so good. The little candy canes are so cute. I love drinking this hot in the morning, after my coffee or in place of it. I find if I drink it in the evening, the caffeine interferes with my sleep. That's probably specific to my chemistry, but something to keep in mind.</span>

What did you do differently to Santas Secret tea? I waited all year and was excited to purchase more and did but am very disappointed. It is not the same as last year. Not nearly as flavorful.Is it made somewhere different?

Though I keep reading that it is the same, it is not. Perhaps the QC team was sick or did not have last year&rsquo;s batch to compare. I drank my final tea from last year one day and tried to drink the new tea the next. Tried. Completely different. Ended up having to chuck $50 of tea because they wouldn&rsquo;t refund.&nbsp;

There are tiny little candy cane sprinkles in the tea. As far as I know, this is the ONLY sugar in the tea. I'm not sure it's enough to make a difference if one has diabetes, for instance, but if you're concerned about caloric intake, I can assure you, this will not make much difference if you're only drinking one or 2 cups of this a day. If you're making a latte, it may, because we're required to use three times the amount of regularly used tea in a latte. Trust me, you want to make this as a latte, it's delicious with frothed oatmilk!

yes!!! santa&rsquo;s secret does come in sachets, i usually go with the box of 25 if they have it. you can always check in the website and just look up the flavor you want and then it will show all the products in that flavor. I am unsure of the price but i know there&rsquo;s usually different amounts of it! :)
