ain't it grand?

Delicately smooth and velvety, with a bright green color and refreshing taste, Grand Cru Matcha is one of the highest grade (and most delicious) matchas on earth. To make it, every vein is lovingly removed from green tea leaves, which are then ground into a superfine matcha powder that whisks into an impossibly creamy brew. The ultimate energy boost, detoxifier and treat-yourself tea.

What Makes It Great:

  • This matcha fave is now Certified Organic!
  • The fine grind makes this matcha green tea super creamy & smooth.
  • Matcha is a labour of love—it's made by removing the stems and spines of the tea leaves and then grinding the leaf into a fine powder. Because you're ingesting the entire leaf, you get 100% of the benefits, plus an energy boost.

Ever since they changed it to only selling it in the tins, it's been different. The first time I got it, it was a very dull green, the taste was different, not as effective. I thought it was just a one time thing but I seems I'm not the only one. Now the options of matcha are completely different, and very limited. Im sad that I'll have to find a new place to order my matcha from, but I don't feel were getting the true product. Bit of a shame</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2023-11-04</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2023-11-04" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="245952299"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">1</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="https://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">kicktomorrow</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Disappointed</span> <span itemprop="description">I have been purchasing the Grand Cru Matcha in the smaller 2oz quantities for about 5 years and it is generally pretty consistent in it's quality of color (bright green) and taste (sweet, smooth, vegetal). The matcha that came in the Grand Cru tin seems like a completely different matcha. The color was a dull muted green, and the tea had no real flavor, it was flat, thin, and bland. It's drinkable as a latte, but disappointing.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2021-05-21</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2021-05-21" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="250736146"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">1</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="https://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">Nicolee</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Old oxidized matcha power that clumps terribly</span> <span itemprop="description">Very disappointed in this product. The matcha in this tin was much lighter (aka older) than a pouch of the same grand Cru matcha that I also had. This tells me the reason this tin was old sale was due to it being old, and boy could I taste the difference. Also, this matcha clumps terribly. I have a traditional bowl and whisk and a frothier and this matcha will never whisk smooth. I've never had this problem with any other straight matchas before so again believe it is related to it being an old product. Highly would not recommend</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2021-10-17</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2021-10-17" /> </div> </div> <script type="text/javascript"> if (document.getElementById('bvseo-reviewsSection')) { document.getElementById('bvseo-reviewsSection').style.display = 'none'; } </script> <!--end-reviews--> <ul id="BVSEO_meta" style="display:none!important"> <li data-bvseo="bvDateModified">y_2024, m_5, d_14, h_3</li> <li data-bvseo="ps">bvseo_bulk, prod_bvrr, vn_bulk_3.0.42</li> <li data-bvseo="cp">cp_1, bvpage1</li> <li data-bvseo="co">co_hasreviews, tv_1, tr_3</li> <li data-bvseo="cf">loc_en_US, sid_11077US01, prod, sort_[SortEntry(order=RELEVANCE, direction=DESCENDING)]</li> <li data-bvseo="diagnostics">clientName_davidstea</li> </ul> <!--end-bvseo-reviews--> <ul id="BVSEOSDK_meta" style="display: none !important;"> <li data-bvseo="sdk">bvseo_sdk, dw_cartridge, 18.2.0, p_sdk_3.2.0</li> <li data-bvseo="sp_mt">CLOUD, getReviews, 7ms</li> <li data-bvseo="ct_st">reviews, product</li> </ul>
