I've used it at least daily for my morning cup for the last couple of months and haven't had any problems with it. It is worth noting, though, that you cannot steep the tea for long in it: because the water is in direct contact with the tea itself, with no barriers like with a tea ball, the tea inside takes no time at all to go from delicious to undrinkably bitter -- something I had to learn the hard way on my first couple of cups. But, having figured that out, I have no problems or complaints about my steeper. I drink around 3 to 4 teas a day, not including the ones my family has me make for them and this product makes it so much easier for me to brew loose leaf tea. With some products that I have bought with other companies, the tea will go through the strainer and then you have little bits of the tea leaves floating around. With this product, there is absolutely no leakage or problems with bits of tea falling through. For years I've just drunk from wonky tea bags from the grocery store, with little flavor or nuance. But a couple of years ago I got into loose leaf tea, and have tried different tea balls, strainers, cups, french presses, and most of those left particles in my cup and didn't strain the tea effectively. This steeper is amazing! It picks up every bit of residue and doesn't let it through. I've tried all sorts of tea in there, Argentinan mat&eacute;, finely ground Thai tea, other companies' black tea, and all of it is perfectly strained. This one not only works the best and is easiest to use and clean, I get more flavor from the loose tea using this steeper than any other one. Tea tastes better using this steeper because the leaves are steeped directly with the water (unlike when using an infuser). I love how easy it is to use. The plastic that holds the bottom part on is very thin, and will break from a very short fall. Everything about it is just perfect...I would wish for it to be dishwasher safe but I'm never not using it long enough to put it in the dishwasher anyway. In fact, I'm back for a 2nd one because I like to do a 2nd steeping for most of my teas and I want to have one for morning (caffeinated) teas and one for evening (no caffeine) teas.
