The pitcher is great, and I love that you just steep right in the pitcher. It overall works super great. BUT. The issue is that when pouring the tea there isn&rsquo;t a overflow hole... so the spout is trying to get both air and tea out at the same time. I ended up finding a mostly covered hole in the bottom of the lid and the drilled a small hole through that when the lid was in the &ldquo;open&rdquo; state. Now it works great and I have no problems.. but DavidsTea really needs to fix that hole issue for people who don&rsquo;t have drills!</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2020-06-13</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2020-06-13" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="233317829"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">1</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">Mrs Shark</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Pouring spout is laughably small</span> <span itemprop="description">I have to give this 1 star even though the majority of this product is excellent. The problem is that the hole from which the iced tea is supposed to be poured out of is so small it's comical. The iced tea comes out at a glacial pace. It's really ridiculous and I wonder how it passed prototyping with this issue? I end up unscrewing the whole lid just to pour the tea as I don't have time to wait for my cup to fill up using this tiny hole. I kind of regret purchasing this even though it is handy to make iced tea. This flaw just doesn't make it worth it. David's Tea, you need to change the spout size!!</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2020-06-09</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2020-06-09" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="236232652"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">1</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">Liz09</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Poorly Made</span> <span itemprop="description">My first issue with this product is the same as everyone else&mdash;the pour spout is so tiny, you only get a trickle, and it&rsquo;s very awkward. I was willing to look past it though, not the end of the world! But then after only 4 days of use, I realized the mesh had ripped along the bottom where it doesn&rsquo;t seem like it was glued down that well... The mesh is also yellow because I made the mistake of putting a tea in it that had turmeric, so now it&rsquo;s probably stained for good. But that&rsquo;s probably my own fault for not thinking it through. All in all, just a very cheaply made pitcher.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2020-08-19</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2020-08-19" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="237141451"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">Thesillybanana</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">So glad I ordered this!</span> <span itemprop="description">I almost didn't order this due to some of the other reviews. I'm SOOO glad I gave it a shot. This pitcher makes it easy to brew iced tea and is easy to clean. As other's have mentioned it can pour a little slow. However I'll gladly trade that 1.5 seconds for the time it saves me in clean-up. The brew basket unscrews from the pitcher with ease, and I love that the bottom of the basket unscrews as well. I never have trouble getting tealeaves trapped. I have found that if I remove the brew basket after the tea is brewed it eliminates any issues with pouring. I use it every day and will probably order another!</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2020-09-19</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2020-09-19" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="245182995"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">3</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">mikep</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Decent pitcher, but pours very slowly</span> <span itemprop="description">Overall, this is a decent pitcher that satisfies its functional purpose. I like how it looks and I like how easy it is to take apart to clean. My one true complaint is that it pours extremely slowly - it just dribbles out. This is because the inside of the pitcher has a very tiny air hole. I was told this was normal, so it wasn't a defect. I managed to fix it myself, however, by taking a drill bit and expanding the hole until I was satisfied with the pour rate. Had I not done that, I would have definitely returned the pitcher. After the modification, I would easily bump my rating up to 4.5/5, but seeing as this is a review for the product as it was received, it stays as 3/5.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2021-05-01</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2021-05-01" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="244631247"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">1</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">jgs121</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Cute, but terrible pitcher</span> <span itemprop="description">The only thing this pitcher has going for it is the fact the bottom of the loose leaf brewer core unscrews for ease of cleaning. Everything else about this pitcher is terrible. The gasket does not seat properly, so the pitcher leaks when you pour it. I try and use the butt end of a spoon to guide the gasket into place and it simply does not fit properly. The hole for pouring is so tiny it takes forever to fill a glass. The spout design does not allow excess tea to flow back into the pitcher when you are done pouring, so when you slide the lid closed back over the hole - the tea goes everywhere and leaks out the side of the lid. The gasket partially blocks the hole too. The swing handle doesn't even fit properly. I took it off. It popped of when not in use anyway. If I could return this thing, I would. Save your money and do not buy this pitcher.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2021-04-15</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2021-04-15" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="236244231"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">2</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">air0220</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Almost</span> <span itemprop="description">Wish I had read the reviews. The color, detachable infuser, and price caught my eye. The pitcher was not created with a release air hole so that when you go to pour, the liquid comes out at a snails pace. Who designed this? Also the L-shaped handle snapped off on mine after two days. It&rsquo;s a soft plastic that was held in place by a screw that probably made it weak to begin with. I got this pitcher last week. So bummed. The infuser is the only good thing about it.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2020-08-19</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2020-08-19" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="233587789"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">2</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">BethLynn</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Not a fan.</span> <span itemprop="description">I bought this a week ago as an additional iced tea pitcher, I already own a previous version that is awesome. I don&rsquo;t really like the design on their new one. The hole is smaller so you can&rsquo;t fit your hand inside to clean it (you would need a bottle brush to clean the inside) and the pour spout doesn&rsquo;t let air in while pouring so the tea just sort of trickles out in a tiny stream. I just take the cover off to pour. The handle that is on top is unnecessary, gets in the way and mine popped off while I was unscrewing the cap so I left it off.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2020-06-15</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2020-06-15" /> </div> </div> <script type="text/javascript"> if (document.getElementById('bvseo-reviewsSection')) { document.getElementById('bvseo-reviewsSection').style.display = 'none'; } </script> <!--end-reviews--> <!--begin-pagination--> <ul id="bvseo-paginationSection"> <li class="bvseo-paginationItem"><a class="bvseo-paginationLink" href="https://www.davidstea.com/us_en/teaware/black-iced-tea-pitcher/904279US01VAR0068908.html?dwvar_904279US01VAR0068908_color=Black&bvstate=pg:2/ct:r">Black Favourite Pitcher Reviews - page 2</a></li> </ul> <!--end-pagination--> <ul id="BVSEO_meta" style="display:none!important"> <li data-bvseo="bvDateModified">y_2022, m_10, d_5, h_21</li> <li data-bvseo="ps">bvseo_bulk, prod_bvrr, vn_bulk_3.0.34</li> <li data-bvseo="cp">cp_1, bvpage1</li> <li data-bvseo="co">co_hasreviews, tv_2, tr_25</li> <li data-bvseo="cf">loc_en_US, sid_904279US01VAR0068908, prod, sort_[SortEntry(order=RELEVANCE, direction=DESCENDING)]</li> <li data-bvseo="diagnostics">clientName_davidstea</li> </ul> <!--end-bvseo-reviews--> <ul id="BVSEOSDK_meta" style="display: none !important;"> <li data-bvseo="sdk">bvseo_sdk, dw_cartridge, 18.2.0, p_sdk_3.2.0</li> <li data-bvseo="sp_mt">CLOUD, getReviews, 6ms</li> <li data-bvseo="ct_st">reviews, product</li> </ul>
