How does this superwow accessory work? Like a teapot. Except the transparent, BPA-free Tritanā„¢ lets you watch as your tea steeps. And when you're ready to sip, just place the steeper right on your cup. You'll feel a rush as the weight magically opens a valve, and your infused tea flows out through a specially-designed filtration system. Then, when you lift the steeper, the valve closes automatically. It just might be the neatest, coolest way to steep. Not dishwasher or microwave safe.

I've used it at least daily for my morning cup for the last couple of months and haven't had any problems with it. It is worth noting, though, that you cannot steep the tea for long in it: because the water is in direct contact with the tea itself, with no barriers like with a tea ball, the tea inside takes no time at all to go from delicious to undrinkably bitter -- something I had to learn the hard way on my first couple of cups. But, having figured that out, I have no problems or complaints about my steeper. Super-happy that I got it, money very well spent!</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2021-05-23</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2021-05-23" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="254177302"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">rgb94</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">A Game Changer</span> <span itemprop="description">I got this a few weeks ago and this completely changed the tea game for me. For years I've just drunk from wonky tea bags from the grocery store, with little flavor or nuance. But a couple of years ago I got into loose leaf tea, and have tried different tea balls, strainers, cups, french presses, and most of those left particles in my cup and didn't strain the tea effectively. This steeper is amazing! It picks up every bit of residue and doesn't let it through. I've tried all sorts of tea in there, Argentinan mat&eacute;, finely ground Thai tea, other companies' black tea, and all of it is perfectly strained. You need it!</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2022-01-28</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2022-01-28" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="254174183"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">4</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">Sleeper</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Almost perfect &lt;3</span> <span itemprop="description">Extremely cute little steeper. Hold about two cups of tea. It can be difficult to clean your tea leaves out of after using. Not dishwasher friendly. Also depending on the tea, you will have to drain all of the tea you poured into the steeper out so that the tea won&rsquo;t over steep and become bitter (instead of letting it sit until you&rsquo;re ready for another cup, like a teapot) the steeper also comes with a pink drip tray which is very cute. Retains heat decently. Despite the cons, I do find this steeper very fun and cute and add excitement to my tea routine.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2022-01-28</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2022-01-28" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="236990447"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">4</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">Rachel42</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Just what I needed</span> <span itemprop="description">Bought this to use with one of the mini tumblers. I find it a lot easier to clean than my metal infuser. The color is even more beautiful in person, and I love being able to watch my tea leaves open. The process of making my tea has always been enjoyable for me, and this adds to that. I'm glad it came with a drip tray, but it doesn't seem to leak at all when it's not placed on a cup. I was worried it would not work with my Ember mug, but it seems to be totally universal. It came with a pamphlet about how much tea/water to use for hot/iced/tea lattes which I thought was really nice, and it's a nice enough pamphlet that I plan on saving it to reference.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2022-02-02</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2022-02-02" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="241378063"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">TeaNewbie302</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Love this! In fact, I'm back for a 2nd one because I like to do a 2nd steeping for most of my teas and I want to have one for morning (caffeinated) teas and one for evening (no caffeine) teas.
