I happen to like apple teas so I enjoy the fruity and tart flavor, which is mellowed out in this tea by the figs and spices. It is a pleasant, mild tea, but it doesn't really wow or delight in the way that other DavidsTea's flavors do. I agree with the reviewer who pointed out that the licorice flavor is overpowering. I also dislike licorice. I second the reviewer's suggestion of removing the big star anise pieces before brewing. Because this tea doesn't have an intense flavor of its own, I've been mixing it with other teas to jazz it up. I wish DavidsTEA would do a caramel apple tea without the spices.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2020-10-25</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2020-10-25" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="232385158"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">2</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author">TeaWS</span> from <span itemprop="name">DON'T USE WITH MILK!</span> <span itemprop="description">I was excited to try a new low caffeine/no caffeine option so I ordered this. I just wish I knew it was not good for milk/lattes. I brewed it and added my foamed milk and within a few minutes the top layer got all chunky like ricotta cheese. I checked the ingredient list but didn't see any hibiscus which is the usual culprit, which I know to avoid. It definitely wasn't the milk since it was brand new, opened that am and used to make 2 delicious other tea lattes (sticky rice oolong and s'mores) without any issues. Flavor seems ok if you aren't a milk in your tea drinker.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2020-05-23</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2020-05-23" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="233799969"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">1</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author">Royaltiny</span> from <span itemprop="name">Meh and underwhelming</span> <span itemprop="description">I purchased this tea because I love the taste of apple cider and chai tea, however this tea was underwhelming. It smells amazing when first opening up the packaging. The first thing I noticed is that the pieces are very large therefore it's difficult to determine how many &quot;perfect spoons&quot; are required, even though I know the package says 1-2. I used 2 perfect spoons and the tea looks and tastes very diluted. I think that if the pieces were chopped up more finely like their other teas, the taste outcome would be richer. I think next time I'll use 4 spoons, which is disappointing because the teas here are a bit pricey, which I'm usually okay paying for since I expect the flavor to be good. It seems that I will probably have to finish up the bag in 2 uses, which is significantly less than normal.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2020-06-18</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2020-06-18" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="238209793"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author">Anonymous</span> from <span itemprop="name">Good one to try</span> <span itemprop="description">Amazing combination of Baked apple and fruits - quite refreshing</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2020-10-27</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2020-10-27" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="230615772"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author">Irewnn</span> from <span itemprop="name">Pleasantly surprised!!</span> <span itemprop="description">I needed just a few dollars more added to my order to get free shipping so I added the 2 oz. bag of this tea to my cart. The tea is fabulous with a great flavor if slightly less apple than I was looking for. The tin that it came in while refillable (great eco friendly option) is next to impossible to open! I have to pry the tin open each time and it's now quite battered looking not to mention I had tea fly everywhere the first time it opened losing quite a bit to the floor. You lose a star because apple is not the main flavor I taste and one for a tin that is horrible to open.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2019-10-04</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2019-10-04" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="232394343"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">3</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author">Petit4</span> from <span itemprop="name">Do you like licorice?</span> <span itemprop="description">If you're like me, you don't like the overpowering licorice flavor of this tea. However, there is a solution. I dumped mine onto a sheet of waxed paper and picked out the bits of star anise. Then, I added some of my own cloves, broken up cinnamon stick, and some crystallized ginger. I do wish the title reflected the prominence of the licorice, though.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2020-05-23</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2020-05-23" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="237507934"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">4</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author">Treesa</span> from <span itemprop="name">Pretty good</span> <span itemprop="description">This tea is pretty good for lattes!
