White tea at its finest, Bai Hao Yin Zhen is revered as one of the top teas in China. Our silver needle white tea uses only the first leaves and silvery, unopened buds of the tea plant, plucked by hand during the April harvest. You’ll love this tea’s pure, delicate taste and sweet complexity, not to mention the underlying grassy notes no tea lover can resist.

What makes it great

 • White tea is the least processed tea, meaning all the skin-loving antioxidants found in the leaf aren't broken down.
 • Comes from a small family-owned garden that has been making tea for over 5 generations.
 • To make this tea, the buds are plucked by hand in early April, when the mornings are still cold but it doesn’t rain every day.

I would fight someone in line to get this! This is the kind of tea would not share with friends and family because it’s so good and I want to keep my bag all to myself! Call me a tea snob, but as a tea lover I would not share this with tea peasants in my family! It’s has a delicate white tea flavor with a flora aroma and taste the makes it simply heavenly! It’s not a nauseating perfume floral smell/taste either and it gives the tea so much body! This is what I imagine what those gods and goddesses in those fantasy Chinese dramas are drinking! The key is to not pour your water boiling hot! I let my electric kettle click when it’s done boiling water, open the lid and let the water cool for 5mins before using as white tea can be easily burned. (If you want to be extra like me you can even rinse the tea leaves ) 1 scoop per Nordic cup size is perfect for me.
Date published: 2022-03-10

Rated 5 out of 5 by MbWinter from Honey, try this tea!! LOVE this!! When I worked at Origns we launched a white tea skin care line in 2001 (the VERY 1st company ever to discover the innumerable benefits of white tea). We had a beautiful white tea the we sold at flagship stores with a glass teapot and it was delicious! We used to serve it to customers and it was VERY high quality white tea. THIS is the closest thing I have had it since that tea. It's got a WONDERFUL, light, smooth flavor and makes me feel so hydrated and glowy. Please, honnies, try this tea!!
Date published: 2021-05-28

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Doesn't Make My Fave List The description generated high hopes for this tea. Sadly, I’ve not fallen in love with Bai Hao Yin Zhen as others have. While it’s not horrible, and I will finish the bag chances of reordering are slim. The flavor is delicate and slightly temperamental. Having steeped three or four cups now, with each has been treated a little differently, as the first cup felt bitter. I suspect the portion amount, brew temp and steep time have to be just right for this tea to really sing. In the meantime, I’ll keep trying to strike the magic balance of these delicate leaves.
Date published: 2020-05-07

Rated 5 out of 5 by BGreten from Best Tea On The Planet! My favorite tea to infuse with fresh fruits! It is very temp sensitive. Floow the steeping directions and you can throw in a couple ice cubes like two or three on top of the tea before pouring the water. If its bitter, you burned it. You can still use it just add honey to the tea after steeping. This can be brewed up to three times so hold ontu your tea leaves.
