Sweet fall spice
I’m so happy butterscotch chai came back! It smells amazing (I confess that had a little butterscotch chai from last fall left in a tin that i’d open and smell occasionally throughout the spring and summer to remind me of fall). I don’t normally love sweetened teas so this is a fun treat. It’s somewhat complex… sweet at first but then the spice notes kick in, with the pepper trailing everything else, although it’s not a super spicy chai. A really lovely fall tea, if not one I’d drink every day. I hope David’s also brings back Stormy Nights, Monster Mash, Witches brew, and Magic Potion. Their fall teas are the best! <3

Yum!
Such a nice tea! Sweet, Caramely, buttery undertones, nice spice from the Cardamom, Cinnamon, and Ginger, and a slight nuttiness from the rooibos. It's nice to have a caffeine free chai That's nice and decadent before bed. Although it might be a little too sweet. Other than that it's a great tea!

Good, not great
I am a butterscotch lover, so I had high expectations, but this one fell a little flat for me. It reminds me of one of their caramel-y holiday teas and nothing about it really screamed butterscotch or chai to me. While it isn't bad, I wish they'd call it something else.

Nice nighttime tea, but not butterscotch.
Caramel and butterscotch are not the same thing, so it would be better to label this as a caramel chai - especially since you repeatedly use “caramel” in the descriptors.
I taste the fruit more than any other flavors. I do not find it spice-forward at all.
I would probably rate this higher as a fruity rooibos than as a “butterscotch” chai.

A complex tea
This tea is a bit hard to describe. It’s sweet, with a bit of spice. It’s not too “butterscotch-y”, and I wasn’t sure if I tasted the butterscotch on my initial sip..but it’s there, just not overwhelming. The spice note is mild, as well. I am new to David’s, and my daughter and I are trying allll the teas :) This one is one of my “will buy again”, although not my absolute favorite.

Mild chai with a hint of sweetness
To me this tasted mostly like a regular but mild chai, with a faint hint of sweetness. I didn't really get the caramel or butterscotch notes at all. I am an orphan of the Caramel Shortbread tea and I know that DavidsTEA can bring on the caramel, buttery notes when needed. I don't understand why this tea didn't deliver. I'll keep drinking it as a regular chai for everyday drinking, but I'm still looking for something to replace Caramel Shortbread (or perhaps they will bring it back...)

Yum-O this is delicious! The rooibos makes it great for a night time desert-esq tea. I get the butterscotch and it's chai-y without being like every other chai or you know...too chai for folks that don’t do all the spice. I love all the chai myself... but if you’re interested.. DO IT!
