"Did it gong fu cha style! 6 pearls is about 5 g, 100 ml of water at 90 C. 30 second first brew, add 10 seconds after each brew (so 30s, 40s, 50s, etc for however many brews you wanna do). It is incredible seeing the leaves unfurl and the flavors come in with each brew. First brew was very jasmine-y while the leaves open up, then the brew gets darker and had a subtle sweetness to it. Very fun to brew this tea in that style and I highly recommend it, IMO"

Is this the same tea as the Dragon Pearl tea Davids tea had ages ago? I remember it getting discontinued something like 15 years ago and the Butterfly Jasmine isn't quite the same.: Hi there, Tess! Our Organic Jasmine Black Pearls Tea is not the same as our retired Dragon Pearls. This one is very similar, but with black tea instead of green tea. As a fan favourite, we highly suggest you give Organic Jasmine Black Pearls a sip!
I recently purchased your Organic Jasmine Black Pearls Tea and had a couple of questions to better understand its quality and processing: 1. Is this tea naturally scented with fresh jasmine blossoms (layering blossoms with the tea and later removing them), or is any flavoring/essential oil added? 2. Best regards, Kia: Hi Kia! 🍵 Yes, Organic Jasmine Black Pearls is naturally scented with jasmine flowers. Jasmine is picked in the early morning when the flowers are still tight/unopened and during the night, when the flowers begin to open and release their scents, the jasmine is layered with the tea leaves. The jasmine flowers are left to scent the tea for a minimum of four hours—sometimes over the course of the entire evening. After scenting the flowers are hand sifted from the tea leaves. This process is repeated over the course of several nights, sometimes up to as many as seven nights in a row! It's a truly beautiful process. 🌼 There is only one ingredient to this tea, which is organic black tea pearls from Yunnan Province, China, scented with jasmine blossoms.
