I learned a lot about tea there, and I got to experiment a lot and try tons of different types of tea. No tea I've had until today had compared to the sencha I had there, until I got this sencha here. If you've never had good sencha, let me paint you a picture. It's a hot, humid day. It's due to rain later, so you had to mow the grass. As the storm rolls in and the rain begins to fall, you open your window to let the wind in since you're still hot from mowing. The storm brings a cool breeze, and it carries on it the fresh fragrance of rain compounded by the freshly-cut grass, and it's the single most refreshing thing you've ever experienced. That's this tea. I find I enjoy sencha the most when it's iced. It has an amazingly crisp, green taste, and it is the hands-down most refreshing beverage I have ever consumed.
Date published: 2020-06-10

Rated 4 out of 5 by NoCider from Okay cup if you're new to sencha I tried a sample of this in the David's Tea Advent Calendar. I'm a sencha snob, normally ordering from various regions and farms in Japan during the first flush in the spring. I brewed about 1 tsp of this at 180 degrees for 1 minute. The second brewing at the same temp for 10 seconds, and the third at the same temp for 30 seconds. This isn't a very strongly flavored or astringent sencha at all - flavor profile is extremely mild. If you're brand new to sencha, or prefer a weaker brew, it may be a good place to start before exploring other varieties from higher quality sources. Overall, a decent cup if you don't want to waste your "good sencha," but I can't say I'd buy it from David's.
Date published: 2021-12-07

Rated 5 out of 5 by Coozy from Delicious and Beneficial I had always heard and read about the benefits of green tea, and even tried it once or twice, but it just didn't click for me... Until I tried Sencha. It has such great flavor, and gives me a nice boost without making me jittery the way coffee used to. This is the best Sencha I've ever had, although admittedly I'm new to the tea game. It tastes almost meaty, which I mean in the best way. I feel great drinking it, and I've read about all the health benefits of green tea consumption- so in all, I'm one happy customer.
Date published: 2020-04-06

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mrs trp from Organic Green for Health I moved to David’s Tea from another online seller for greater organic selections. It’s a type a tea I drink when I’m studying or reading a book. It’s not a strong or super flavorful tea like chai or fruit teas but you really get notes for calming green in my opinion. I also think it’s important you don’t use super hot water when making this since the flavor is very delicate, I like to let my kettle sit for 5 min after coming to a boil before using it.
