Okay for what it is
Bought this in store but was unhappy about the fact that the matcha was in a multi-use container that had to be opened (and exposed to oxygen and moisture and light) every single time a new customer wanted to buy a portion of matcha. Matcha packaged and sealed much earlier in the process might be better than what I received, but the matcha I bought in store was clumpy and noticeably bitter, maybe made more noticeable by the fact that I typically drink matcha just by itself - no sugar, milk, ice, flavorings, etc. Go with a company with a longer track record of processing, packaging, and SEALING its matcha, and opt for the ceremonial grade whenever possible if you prefer your matcha to stand alone as a tasty, vegetal, slightly sweet green tea. While I have not tasted any of the flavored matcha offerings from Davidstea, I suspect that sugar and flavorings are added because the matcha itself is low quality and not handled well. This matcha matsu was good for what it was, however - matcha I bought to tide me over while my preferred source was unavailable.

Clumpy
I have made this two different ways, one with the matcha maker shaker and once with the wisk. It was clumpy both times. This was the first David's Tea matcha I have bought but have had matcha powder from a different company in the past amd it was never clumpy. I don't know what the difference is but I don't like that some gets wasted because it doesn't get disolved well and its gross to try and drink the clumps.

Such great matcha powder! Top quality, wonderful taste. I love stirring a brewed bit of this tasty matcha into other brewed cups of leaf green tea for added flavor, or I just make a cup and enjoy it like I would espresso!

So many clumps!
I bought a bag of this after it was one of the teas in last year's matcha advent calendar and I enjoyed it as a latte. Unfortunately, no matter how I make it, it comes out clumpy and I end up dumping quite a bit of it down the drain as trying to drink the clumps makes me want to throw up. Every time I finish a cup of this, I want to go to my local coffee shop and get a clump-free matcha latte.
I have purchased and love other matcha teas from David's. This is the only one that I can't figure out how to make without clumps, so I'm pretty sure it's not user error!

I have used this matcha for 3 years now and I love it! It is the best I have tasted, better than Starbucks. I make my own lattes every morning at home. It is very dense so make sure you have something like a whisk or the matcha maker to really break it up.
