Also not purple.</span> <span itemprop="description">Something I have learned about me, tea, and my tastebuds is that I somehow never taste what I smell. Another thing about my tastebuds is that they don't like unsweetened black tea. With that in mind, my experience with this tea was pretty much what I expected. It smelled fantastic to me. I over-brewed it the first time (around 4 minutes) and it was very bitter, even with sugar added. I did a second brew from the same leaves for half the time (the water was slightly cooler, too) and with sugar added I got floral and a bit fruity with a somewhat bitter aftertaste. I do like it, though I can see where others might not. But guys, seriously, nothing in my cup even slightly resembled purple. xD I know, it's a tiny thing, but I was legitimately excited for purple tea.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2019-10-15</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2019-10-15" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="225599584"> <meta itemprop="itemReviewed" content="Deep Purple" /> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">4</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author">dokidoki-artichokee</span> from <span itemprop="name">An Interesting Tea Indeed</span> <span itemprop="description">I love teas that have butterfly flowers!! Magic Potion and Deep Blue Spiralina are excellent!! At first whiff, this tea smells like a fancy French perfume. Very floral with a hint of sweetness. When steeped hot, it&rsquo;s kind of bitter. The first time I tried it, it did turn a nice purple color!! Second time, I tried it iced, and it was a dull gray color and that floral taste was certainly there. I think the color depends on how many butterfly flowers are in your cup. It would work best if there was some lemon involved. This tea is nice, but not my favorite.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2019-10-26</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2019-10-26" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="225146043"> <meta itemprop="itemReviewed" content="Deep Purple" /> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author">AmandaS</span> from <span itemprop="name">Pleasantly surprised!</span> <span itemprop="description">I tend to dislike butterfly pea flowers, but was intrigued by the combination of ingredients in this tea, so I gave it a try anyway...I&rsquo;m glad I did! I brewed my cup at 185degrees for 3minutes and what resulted was an incredibly complex flavor. I could definitely taste the pineapple and blueberry, which were balanced out by a mildly floral, slightly earthy flavor. An excellent tea for fall, when you don&rsquo;t quite feel like something spiced or pumpkiny.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2019-10-11</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2019-10-11" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="225033386"> <meta itemprop="itemReviewed" content="Deep Purple" /> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">1</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author">TeaSnob1107</span> from <span itemprop="name">Extremely Disappointed</span> <span itemprop="description">I had been looking forward to trying this new Halloween Tea.
