I'm normally not the biggest fan of David's tea's flavored matchas (too sweet), but this one is incredible. It is sweet, but in a more decadent way. You get the nice grassiness of the matcha but it's very mild, so if you don't like plain matcha, this would be great for you. As for the chai aspect, it is spot on. I really picked up on cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and a little bit of ginger. It's nice and spicy, and to me it tastes like how those pinecones you see at Michaels or hobby lobby smell. Its very bright, silky, and has a strong flavor. Unfortunately that flavor was just not was I expected. It was way too sweet and honestly I had trouble drinking it. The chai flavor is strong but it also drowns out most of the matcha flavor. I was really looking forward to a high quality tea and the reviews were all positive but this was just way too sweet. I've tried a couple other flavors and have found that David's is too sugary for my preferences. I don't plan to buy any other matchas from davids. It&rsquo;s a bit lighter on the spice, which I think might be due to the sugar in this diluting it a bit?
