Maybe it's just me and how rooibos smells, but every time I open the bag and brew it, I can't help but think &quot;hookah&quot;. For whatever reason the tea blend smells like shisha to me which was a little but of a turn off at first, but after tasting it, I can see why it's called &quot;birthday cake&quot;. Delicately sweet and a little buttery. Very good with a heavier creamer to give a more indulgent mouth feel. It was sooooo good, and pretty! It paired really well with the cake we had for dessert. I like that the order came with a free tin, the Guest of Honor was able to take the excess loose tea home and have a cool can to store it in. This tea has such a dynamic flavor, and is excellent both hot and cold. Iced, as a latte this tea is the perfect afternoon snack, or dessert and you really get the cake forward flavor. Warm, either with a splash of cream or with out, the sweet flavor is calm and indulgent without being too heavy, and I get a lot of maple undertones. Excellent tea, well worth it. I add a little of it with my chocolate teas from Davids tea. You use to have Dark chocolate cake, but its no longer part of your teas. So I am very very sad about that tea being unavailable. So I use birthday cake with Dark chocolate almond. Please do not discontinue that tea. Not good.</span> <span itemprop="description">They changed the flavor of this. It used to be so yummy as a iced latte and now they must have s changed something and it tastes really bad. I had no idea they changed the ingredients so I bought so many ounces. Waste of my money unfortunately. I love David&rsquo;s but would have liked a notification of some sort that the ingredients changed on of their popular teas, it&rsquo;s been a tea here for YEARS.
