Figuratively and literally. My advent was sealed shut with three strips of tape, which is good because I had loose tins as well as one tin whose contents burst open in the paper box. The tins no longer have a window, which I think is good to keep light out and the advents a bigger surprise. However, all of the tins in my advent, save 5, were not properly screwed on. Many of the tins wouldn't even screw down fully. This worries me in the state of the tea as it has been sitting in a non air tight container for potentially months (depending on when the item was put together.) The actually calendar is very sturdy and has a magnetic closure. The design is so cute and I wish we had mugs based on the snowmen. For the main advent calendar this is the first time they have not done square boxes, and in all honesty it doesn't look good or make any sense. The bigger sizes can lead to the tins bouncing around during transit and busting open, which I have experienced and which I have seen discussed by other customers. The varying sizes also lead to a bit of misunderstanding. For someone like me who has had the same advents for the past 4-5 years, I initially thought that this advent would have something new in the calendar. This year is one of their better year's, in my opinion. But there is also room for improvement. Taste of the product: Excellent flavor selection. I was glad to see most of the flavors were wintery or holiday themed. Obviously how you celebrate the holidays is subjective, but personally I'm not very happy when I find something like Blueberry Fields Forever in my calendar when blueberries are ripe in August. I also don't understand why the calendar will inevitably have medical teas. That seems like a fairly personal choice. A suggestion for the future: move the whatever sleepytime tea is in the calendar (this year is Silent Night, which sounds delicious!) and the Christmas Morning Blend closer to Christmas day (like the 23 &amp; 24) They usually make an appearance much earlier and surely I can't be the only adult who still has trouble sleeping on Christmas Eve? lol Quality of the product: I anticipate this will be good. David's always has flavorful, quality tea. There seems to have been a lot of thought and care put into this box. Suggestion: call me greedy, but it's always super fun when the company includes an &quot;extra&quot; surprise for Christmas day. The coupons were never fair since they could only be used in store. I liked the year with the little ornament. The year with the perfect spoon was nice, but that seems like it would be best for timers, because otherwise you probably already have one and do you really need more than one? Even just including a &quot;surprise&quot; tea (Silent Night and Christmas Morning Blend?) would be fun. The Packaging: The biggest loser this year. The design is fairly cute, although the red is a bit harsh. But this is my second favorite art design, after the pastel skiing mice (2017?). A little disappointed the full caffeine box isn't getting the same cute cabin shaped box as the non- caffeinated. Inside the box is where you lose me, however. The little boxes that hold the tea canisters all assorted sizes for no reason that I can tell, but none of them are a good size. The canisters rattle around in them. The lid is solid, which I can see why you might want that, but personally I like the little window to jog my memory of what it is I'm getting (I can't remember all these flavors by names alone). This seems like an issue that you'll always have people unhappy with though. And while I got luckier than some, I did also have one canister of tea that burst open, although luckily it was largely contained in the box. Speaking of boxes, when you slide out 21 and 24, there are arrows next to the numbers printed on the larger box and I have no idea why. Glad they got rid of the little bags, those were terrible. Suggestion: Print a fun scene or design on the back of the boxes. Some people like to turn their boxes around once they've gotten their treat for that day and it's always fun when companies do this. Final thoughts: Overall, I think this is one of the better advent calendars, despite the packaging issues. This Advent tea box had one delicious tea after another. I bought one for my mom and we would each have our daily tea and share our thoughts. It has become a beautiful tradition that allows us to slow down and connect during the holidays. I do have to manage my caffeine so it would be helpful if the caffeine level was easy to find. Some of the teas were not available individually so it was a challenge to determine how high the caffeine is for a given tea. No response to phone, chat or email. I finally got several emails saying my orders was delayed due to Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. Don&rsquo;t have the sales if you do not have the resources to honor them. Finally got the tea after a month, and the tea was disappointing, all flavors taste pretty much the same, so far none of my 24 advent teas are anything special.
