Perfect with milk!
I normally drink my tea black, so that's how I initially tried this. It tasted like there was something missing - something about the way the sweetness from the marshmallows mixed with the black tea base tasted not sweet enough while also having a too sugary aftertaste. It was also slightly too bitter.
I decided to try it again with some almond milk and BAM! Suddenly it's one of the best teas I've had here! The milk makes the sugary taste seem more balanced and there's not much of an aftertaste. I don't know if I'll have this tea black again, but I'm definitely going to try making a latte with it!

I really enjoyed this one! It has a spot on sweet potato flavor with nutmeg, cinnamon, and nuttiness to balance it out. The marshmallow and brown sugar give it a semi sweetness and creaminess, but it's not overly sweet like some of their other dessert teas. This one obviously doesn't have a crust taste to it, so it tastes more like a sweet potato casserole with cinnamon and brown sugar. A delightful tea for the fall and winter months!

Sweet Potato Pie is one of the best teas DT has ever released, and certainly one of the most cozy. I truly can't say enough good things about this tea, especially brewed as a latte- it's nutty, perfectly spiced, and the squash is balanced perfectly. It's the right amount of sweet (and no stevia, yay!), and just the right amount of savory, to make it taste just like a sweet potato pie. What a gift this tea is.

I'm firmly in the Pumpkin-Anything-Haters Club, probably the owner/president, and crave sweet potatoes at this time of the year. To me, sweet potatoes are just not hyped up enough for the winter holidays as they should be. So enters this tea and let me tell you....LOVE AT FIRST SIP. It takes me back to my visits to Seoul, South Korea and getting a warm sweet potato latte while I stroll in Dongdeamun. I had a few family members over recently and they raved about this tea over the others I bought and tasted.
I enjoy this tea as a latte, primarily done in 2 ways. I) steamed and frothed sweet cream creamer or 2) steamed and frothed whole milk with a small splash of vanilla extract. It just become rich, decadent, and just what the holiday ordered.

I love this tea, it really does have the flavor of a sweet potato pie without all the calories. I got a chance to try it last year at a David's in CT (those ladies were always willing to start an order for those of us who work late and drive 2.5 hours down to make it in minutes before closing) and was blown away by the flavor. I have been using the search option on the website since David's started announcing the fall teas because I know this one sold out super fast last year.
