When we came up with this tea, we had fresh strawberries on the brain. And what goes best with berries? A big dollop of cream, of course. This fruity & creamy tea is the result of blending milky oolong with luscious strawberries – for a flavor that’s perfectly sweet & smooth. The scent alone will bring you back to afternoons with whipped cream and strawberries *swoon*.
What makes it great
Inspired by Italian soda, a sweet & refreshing carbonated beverage that originated in the USA.
Milky oolongs are loved for their creamy & milky flavor, originally crafted by a specific cultivar known for that characteristic taste.
The strawberries & cream flavor profile dates back to Henry VIII.

Tastes like strawberry milk!
I received a packet of Strawberries and Cream in my Tea Tasting subscription box, and it was the first tea I wanted to try. I steeped one spoonful of it in a cup of hot water, added a splash of milk and sugar, and wow! It tastes delightfully fruity and quite reminiscent of strawberry milk. The color on its own is a beautiful dark pink, and with a splash of milk, it becomes a lovely lavender. I can tell that I'll be going through this batch quickly!

I found this tea before it was advertised on the Oolong category. I had seen that it was in the subscription box. So I was excited to see that it was offered to those who don't get the subscription. I am a fan of the Salted Carmel Oolong and the Coconut Cream Pie Oolong so I had to try this one as well. This one is the best by far! I added Heavy Whipping Cream and it tastes just like a Strawberry Milkshake. I just ordered more and plan to keep ordering it as long as they have it.

My new favorite!
I received this tea in my subscription box, and it has become one of my new favorites. I typically prefer more traditional teas, but this one has a wonderful creamy sweetness that I just adore. It's become a big hit in my household, so much so it disappeared very quickly. I hope this one becomes a permanent part of David's Teas offerings!

Sophisticated confectionary treat!
When I first came across this tea, I rolled my eyes guessing it would be another fruity tea with a black tea base. Instead, it actually uses David's tea's delicious Guangzhou milk oolong, which is probably in my top three favourite teas! What a wonderful surprise! Now that I've found it, I hope this returns year after year, because it's everything I could want from a strawberry tea.
The leaves smell delectable, and that wonderful scent comes through in the brewed tea too - definitely an authentic strawberries and cream taste. It also reminds me of a pick and mix sweet - maybe the pink foam shrimp? The hibiscus works with the strawberry flavoring and strawberry pieces to create more of a slightly sour, more authentic fresh berry flavour. The creaminess of the milk oolong and the vanilla flavour are like a dollop of Chantilly cream on top of the strawberries.
The oolong unfurls into pristine leaves, and I can see perfect pieces of strawberry with seeds intact in my teapot. Definitely impressed by the quality of the inclusions - no tea dust here! Resteeping allows the tart hibiscus to fade into the background, and light oolong flavours to come to the front. Absolutely delicious, glad I got two bags!

Tasty but fleeting
This tea tastes and looks so lovely upon brewing, but it's only good for one brew. If you try brewing a second steep, there's no flavor left. Because of all the fruit in this, it's bulky so you get less volume of tea by weight. This is a bummer, because this tastes nice and I like the tea a lot, but it will be all used up in no time, especially because it's only good for one steep. With the coconut oolong I can get 3 pots from one portion!
