a cup of cozy
Organic rooibos tea and cinnamon are a powerhouse combination. According to aromatherapy principles, cinnamon enhances your ability to concentrate. Plus it has a clean and refreshing taste your breath will thank you for. And rooibos is super hydrating and bursting with vitamins and minerals. Your new favorite caffeine-free chai also contains sweet apple. Delicious.
What makes it great
- Cinnamon is an even better breath-freshener than mint!
- Cinnamon is great for concentration… making this an excellent caffeine-free option for a late night movie or cram sesh.
- Craving a chai before bedtime? One sip is all it takes to satisfy your craving.
- Loved by REAL HOMES for the cozy factor: “No matter if I'm cold, tired, or just in need of some TLC, this cinnamon tea is a staple in my kitchen.”

Just Not for Me
I got this as a sample in my previous order, and I'm glad I did so. I wouldn't want to be stuck with two or more ounces. It's not bad! Opening it up, it had a very overwhelming smell of cinnamon that reminded me of cinnamon-flavored gum or toothpaste, not natural cinnamon. I steeped it for seven minutes, and the overall liquor didn't have very much cinnamon flavor to it. It mostly tastes like rooibos. I've never been a fan of cinnamon-flavored gum, and I've found in the past year or so that rooibos is not for me; it's just too sweet for my tastes. I was hoping it would be a bit spicier or taste like cinnamon apples, but that just wasn't the case. If you like rooibos, this is a great choice for you. But if you don't, like me, you'd be better off with another caffeine-free/decaf chai.

Not really chai but good!
I got this in the holiday advent calendar. It was tasty but not really what I expected. It didn't really taste like a chai at all, but had a wonderful cinnimon flavor with just a hint of apple in it. The apple flavor grew and lingered as I drank it which was lovely.
The color is incredibly dark so at first I didn't steep it long enough. I added 1/2 teaspoon of rock sugar and that helped draw out more of the subtle flavors of the apple and rooibos.
Tasty tea. Just not really a chai.

Better once additions are made.
Not bad but better if you doctor it up. My first try of this, the chai tasted too watery and mild. I imagine it might taste more robust if you steeped the tea in milk so that the fat can draw out some essential oils, but that seems like a lot of work. Instead, I added several green cardamom pods and several fat slices of preserved ginger (sweet and salty, from a local Vietnamese grocer) to the tea before steeping and that made a huge difference. Seems like this tea is mainly rooibos, cinnamon, and dried apple so it would be easy to create a "dupe" at home, which I might end up doing since I had to add a bunch of my own ingredients to make it something I truly enjoyed anyway!

The flavor of this tea is amazing! The cinnamon is strong and goes wonderful with a plate of pumpkin cookies. It also blends really nicely with icecream for a cinnamon shake. The only down side is the tin it came in. I can't open it! Purchased at the Mall of America and refillable, which is great, but it may be so damaged it will not be possible to refill.

A great fall/winter tea
This tea has a great slightly sweet spicy taste. Since it has no caffeine, I can drink it all day or evening. With the addition of crushed candy canes and chocolate pieces it makes an excellent holiday dessert drink. Perfect after a winter's afternoon outside. For those of us who are diabetic, cinnamon has been cited in some studies tobe beneficial in lowering blood sugar levels. But I hasten to say that The American Diabetic Assoc has said that those studies have NOT been proven.
