They replaced it for me, and it&rsquo;s been working well, but a friend bought me the same mug in a different color and that one just broke the same exact way. However, mine is not leak proof - I would not put it in a bag while full. And on mine the button does not flip the lid open (I think it's supposed to), which I would expect based on similar products. I.e. I have to hold the button and pull the top up to get it open. Not a huge deal but you might expect more perfect quality for the price. However, the black one has since started to have an issue opening with the little button. Not too much of a problem and I can deal with that. The big issue is, the silicone (or rubber?) seal inside that makes it no leak. While it is amazing at it's job, just like any other bottle you need to take it off and clean it. It grows mold fast if you aren't cleaning it regularly. So when I found this one from David&rsquo;s Tea, I was thrilled, even if it was slightly overpriced. The mug keeps your liquids hot for hours. I make my tea before I leave for work, and it is still scalding hot six hours later. Unfortunately, the rest of the mug is cheaply made. I have had multiple issues with the infuser and the top part of the mug. One day after I received this, the lid somehow got stuck closed, and it broke when I tried to flip it open. Their customer service quickly sent me a replacement without any hassle. Unfortunately, about a week after receiving the new mug, the infuser was the next thing to break. The top screen on the infuser does not stay in place, so tea leaves spill out into the water when you try to steep your tea. It was totally leak proof (provided you don't overfill it), and I put it side ways in my bag with no worries. It kept my drink warm for hours, and the tea filter is the best thing ever... but I predicted the flimsy locking mechanism would break fast and I was right.
