Until it wasn't. I bought this a few months ago and maybe use it 4 times a week. I always hand-washed it and never put it in the dishwasher. I noticed the other day the rubber was disintegrating which made the lid pop off easier since it didn't seal properly. It was a great little steeper until the rubber tore. I do feel that I should have at least got 100 steepings with it (since 100 tea bags are the same price as this steeper). I would not purchase again unfortunately. There are other steeper choices though which I'm eager to try!
Date published: 2019-10-24

Rated 3 out of 5 by sam19 from Has Some Issues My mom bought one a while ago and we share all of our tea accessories so www use it often enough. As others mentioned, its definitely difficult to open. Its hard to open without wet tea flying everywhere. I've had to resort to leaving it dry out in the sink in the morning, and cleaning it out when i get home. Recently, the silicone in the middle has ripped. We've had this for about 8 months, and now it won't stay closed at all once theres water in the cup. I've had several drinks recently where I've attempted to make tea, and when I go to pull out the infuser, the top pops right off and the loose leaf tea goes everywhere in the mug. Such a hassle to clean up and properly take all the tea out before i can drink it. I wish there was some type of warranty, or maybe this product just isn't meant to last this long.
Date published: 2019-08-10

Rated 3 out of 5 by Onpo!nt from Tea ball reconstruction needed! I have a love-hate relationship with this compact tea ball...I've purchased many of these tea balls, within 3-6 months the inner part of silicone lid always tears in same area spot. I have always been careful to make sure it is tightly pressed together to avoid it coming apart while steeping, which it hasn't so far. I have always just hand washed it with hot water and regular dish soap, flipping the rim part inside out to wipe it down even. It has some faint almost like hard water marks on it that I've never been able to get rid of but don't affect the tea at all. Never had issues with the rim bit splitting or showing frankly any signs of wear. The wire has gotten bent in some places but that doesn't impede anything!
