<span itemprop="description">I have long been a user of these tea bags and just recently bought the 200 bag box. Yesterday I made a cup of tea and found that the tab on the draw string had stuck to the side of my mug because they had been changed from a paper tab to some kind of plastic/paper tab and had melted onto the side of my cup. I will still use these tea bags as they are easy to use but highly suggest that davids tea goes back to the paper tab or gets a better plastic that is less likely to melt.</span>

<span itemprop="description">The bag is sturdy, with a string that holds tight when pulled closed and the tag is a nice touch when wrapping around the handle of my mug. I find for teas like rooibos or similar ones that have very fine particles my strainers just don't cut it like the bag does.
But, I actually bought this because I was looking for something to hold my spices in soups, for some reason I couldn't find the right cheesecloth bags. So I thought this could be a good alternative with multiple uses. I pull of the tag off and put ingredients inside that I might have a hard time fishing out later like whole peppercorns, bay leaves, fresh thyme etc. close the bag up and throw it into the pot with everything else. Note, I've only tried this with clear brothy soups.</span>

<span itemprop="description">The only thing I don’t like about them is that the fluid soaks the drawstring down to the end and then drips( although the box states no drip) Not a problem if you remove your bag from your cup. I like to keep the bag in my cup (I like my tea strong).
Everything else is perfect ie: biodegradable, compostable, and chlorine free. I will keep purchasing them.</span>

<span itemprop="description">They are awesome as they have many uses. I have used them for my favourite teas as well as for my pickling spice when making pickles. My daughter will use them when my old coffee filters run out and she continues to make single cups of coffee. They are not bleached, and therefore I am comfortable with throwing them in my compost.</span>

This is what the packages says '......made with biodegradable, chlorine-free, compostable manila hemp.' I would say that there isn't any nylon in the string. It looks like cotton to me.
