HOW TO USE :

David's tea has zero customer service people. I waited on hold for hours, online rep kept disconnecting due to a "service issue", tried messaging on fb and nothing. I'm still missing 2 items from my order back in November 2022. Will not be supporting this company in the future. If you want a good frother, try Costco or Amazon. Smh</span>

<span itemprop="description">It works great, but if you put milk to the max line on heat mood to make foam it will spill over so I have that. I think , it probably best to heat milk first with the heat thing , then make your foam after . it dosnt take long to make it. And it dose make great foam , I just think it need more instructions, like don't try to foam milk on the max line, max line is only for heating milk. Other then that its perfect.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I bought this in the summer, but have been waiting for it to cool down before using. It works as described, heats and/or froths milk quickly and thoroughly. It's much easier than manually heating and frothing milk on the stove, if you make a lot of tea lattes. I also plan to explore using it to heat milk for hot chocolate.
The problem is that there are barely any instructions (in case anyone else is stuck on that, I put my own answers below).
It does not clarify which attachment to use (the one with the coil is for frothing, I think the second attachment just fills that space if you're only heating). It does not say whether to use the lid while running (I assume the answer is yes). It says "Do Not Run Under Tap Water" and "Use a Non-Abrasive Cloth," but does not come with any further cleaning instructions (I remove the attachment to wash separately, then give it a rinse without getting water on the outside, then use soap and a gentle cloth, then re-rinse).
There is no spot to mark it down for bad instructions, so I did this under 'packaging' and 'easy to clean'</span>

<span itemprop="description">The product does what it says it does, it froths cold or warm milk or milk substitutes. We also have a Nespresso Aeroccino and it fails to compare, spend the extra $30 and go with the Aeroccino it works significantly better, looks nicer out in the kitchen (black metal as opposed to cheap white plastic), lighter, smaller, and all around a better-quality milk frother delivering superior milk foam without the risk of losing clumsily attached attachments.</span>

Now after using it about 10 times, it no longer works. I did not expect this would break so quickly. Because I bought it online I can't return it in a store and online chat is overwhelmed. The total capacity is about 8oz. The max line for frothing is 100mls (about 3.4oz), which expands to fill about 8oz of space, and the max line for heating only is 200ml (about 6.8oz)

I've been filling it with some water and a little dishsoap, then washing with a soft cloth. You can fill the milk area with running water to rinse it, you just can't overflow it, run the entire thing under water, nor submerge it since it's electrical and not waterproof. Also, you can remove the frother piece and wash by separately (to make sure it and the area under it is clean); it is just held on with a magnet.

I have tested as low as 30mls (just enough milk to cover the frothing coils). The maximum amount is 100mls to froth or 200 mls to heat.

It plugs into a regular outlet. The attachments are one small disc with a plain rod (this is what the listing seems to refer to as the 'heating attachment'*), and a second in the same shape, but with a coil around it for frothing. I believe the 'spare attachment' refers to whichever attachment you are not currently using. Unfortunately the instructions do not clarify anything about this.
