Our Horchata Chai was inspired by the flavours of Mexican horchata, an agua fresca (refreshing drink) made with rice and cinnamon. On a maté base, this spicy and deliciously creamy tea has all the hallmarks of a classic horchata and the comfort of a traditional chai. Strewn with white rice, this tea will take you on a trip to Mexico.

I haven’t enjoyed some of David’s creamy formulations lately (latest iteration of Cream of Earl Grey, Cupid’s breakfast), but this is natural-tasting and delicious.</span>

<span itemprop="description">Picked this up over the weekend as I'm looking for a coffee replacement and I fell in love with the smell. But then the taste, is what blew me away. It tastes like a cinnamon bun in a mug. Delicious! It's warm, creamy and has a hint of sweetness. I just wish the packaging was a little more eco-friendly. The employee was super helpful! I have an allergy to pineapple/lactose intolerant and they were so diligent at checking the ingredients to ensure that mystea selections were vegan and pineapple free. Thanks to the staff at DavidsTea at limeridge mall in Hamilton, Ontario for being so helpful and friendly!</span>

You absolutely have to try this one as a latte, it's one of the best chai lattes I've ever had. I've never had an authentic horchata, so I'm not sure how it stacks up in comparison... but it's very good.</span>

Hi there Jacqui57&mdash;great question! The rich, creamy flavour and notes of cinnamon are very similar between Horchacha and Horchata Chai, though Horchata Chai has some additional spices like ginger and cardamom, plus a subtle roasted flavour from the yerba mat&eacute;. We hope this helps! 💙

I see monk fruit listed in the ingredients of the horchata chai. Is there also&nbsp;erythritol? I know these usually come together. My partner has been told he should avoid erythritol.

Hi EggHead! We can confirm the monk fruit in our Horchata Chai does not have erythritol&mdash;we use a powdered form of the fruit itself, without any additional sub-ingredients.
