Since opening the bag and seeing those golden coloured leaves I was excited to try this new tea. The smell reminded me on roasted sweet potatoes. Brewing confirmed it for me because the roasted sweet potato scent became even stronger. I brewed it for 3.5 minutes and it was just perfect for me. No bitter taste at all. Light sweetness that reminds me on honey, and still this roasted sweet potato flavour. The colour of the tea(do they say liquor?) is beautiful as well. Very smooth taste. I ordered already 2 more bags before I had even tried, because the description was so &quot;perfect&quot; for me online. Caramelized, chocolatey aromatics on the first infusion. Tasting notes: 1st infusion: A malty, sweet, caramel comes to the forefront when brewed at 195F for 3 minutes. Hints of chocolates, and very relaxing aromatics that tickle your nose as you enjoy the tea. A full bodied mouth feel without any astringency. 2nd Infusion The Caramel and Chocolatey notes persist, but now with a dried strawberry taste coming through. A slight fruitiness that plays on your tongue. Absolutely delightful to the senses. The finish is that sweet potato that others had mentioned, and it stays with you, along with that sweetness. Its giving me an energetic awareness, coupled together with a gentle relaxation. Very interesting for a Black Tea. If you had to ask me to pick one Black Tea to wake up to for the rest of my life, this would be it. These leaves have gone through two infusions of around 350ml water, and it's not showing signs of slowing down! It used to be in the Organic Breakfast tea which was really good. I didn&rsquo;t get the hint of sweet potato but I did taste the honey. It steeps up a nice yellow colour. Hard to believe it's a black tea, the leaves are yellowish. The flavour is too delicate for me to really describe it. I love Honey Black, which I find refined and yet with flavour.
