It tastes like liquorice and medicine. Sorry David's this tea is awful. (And I was so excited about it that I used my free tea on it! Argh.) The first hot taste was nondescript, but once it had cooled down enough to take a good long sip, I did - and fought to keep from spitting it out. It was bad. It was sort of like drinking musty, fetid tea with a side order of strange chemicals. First time ever drinking a tea and having this reaction! Do not order it. I'm a huge chai fan - and can be a little picky with what I like. To be honest, I really didn't like the smell of this one when I first gave it a sniff. However, when I caught covid and was needing something to warm me up, Honey Comb Chai was there for me (good thing teas don't hold grudges!). HCC had the perfect amount of spice and the soothing Honey flavour really helped to ease the ache in my throat from coughing. My taste buds weren't affected by covid so I know I wasn't being deceived! If the first mug of HCC leaves you disappointed, give it another try. I actually love that one. I love ginger tea, the more ginger the better. I didn't really like that tea on its own, but after added some grade one Manuka honey I actually fell in love with that tea. If you love teas with ginger flavour... that is one for you. I can see why you would drink this if you had a cold, the ginger would burn any germ away. Unfortunately it was so heavy on the honey flavour you couldn&rsquo;t even taste the chai. I did it plain, followed the instructions and it just was not that great. It&rsquo;s super comforting like a chai and the cinnamon and ginger are nice and strong (the ginger is not nearly as strong as in the Super Ginger though). The licorice is light with a really nice sweetness from the Manuka honey and apple with subtle floral notes. Sadly, it tastes nothing like it's described. I would not call this chai, it tastes like ginger, cinnamon, lemon, and possibly honey.
