So it feels disingenuous to call this &quot;matcha powder&quot; and charge a price comparable to unadulterated matcha tea. It is very tasty but because, as mentioned, the first ingredient is sugar, it takes a lot of this drink mix before you can actually taste the matcha. Nice grassy, minty lime flavour, once you've added over a tablespoon. Sugar is also a great way to disguise a low-quality tea, but that's how David rolls. Let me choose my own sugar consumption levels, David! Honestly, I wouldn't even have purchased it, but I had a gift card I needed to use. I can't understand how you can speak badly about the mojito Matcha: I have just made it hot with milk and a little french vanilla to enhance the flavour and it is so nice, so pleasant and you can taste the mint and the after taste of lemon. I love all the David's tea matchas and teas and I am so upset I can't order them directly as I live in London. From a quality and price point of view they are the best. They allow you to experience the magic of matcha and its good benefits without getting bankrupt: the prices are very good as the quality of the matcha is very good too. It is a beautiful vibrant green against the dull green from other suppliers. I really wish they had theirs shops in London and Europe. Yes there is sugar, daah!But it is a very reasonable percentage and not more than the matcha tea one. All things with flavours have sugar: plus this is cane sugar and not just random white refined sugar. David's tea you have my tumb up all the way, forever and never!!! It is harder for me to get my supply but I still make sure I get it! I am trying everything, all flavoured matchas and matcha matsu and I have a lot of gran cru matcha. I buy syrups, essences and extracts to make my own recipes, every day :) The other day I made with gran cru a matcha latte with white chocolate powder and sicilian lemon extracts: amazing!
