celebrate the harvest
The forever fall must-have. Pumpkin Chai is a rich premium black tea, basically the perfect way to kick off the season. It’s got all the warmth of cinnamon and cloves, plus the sweetness of caramel and pumpkin candy. For a truly unforgettable pumpkin chai latte experience, top it up with steamed milk and stir in a spoonful of brown sugar.
What makes it great
- This is the only spiced black tea that’s come back every season since debuting in our very first fall collection.
- Makes the perfect fall chai latte—especially topped with frothed milk and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
- Try steeping it into custard for an autumnal crème brulée.

I love this tea so much. I order 2 Kg every year (I’ve had to work it into my budget). Incredibly spicy and soothing. I drink it all year and try to limit myself to one cup per day, but on hard days, I may indulge more than twice. Once they bring back Coconut Cream Pie (even seasonally David please!), my life will be complete.

RECIPE CHANGED. WHY?!?
I truly looked forward to this tea every year. One of my staples in my tea cabinet. I was so excited to make my tea this morning but was SO DISAPPOINTED when I took my first sip. It tastes nothing like the old blend, and the chai spices are completely overpowered by the new edition of the cookie flavouring. One of the last tea blends that hadn’t been changed, and with no notice to the customers, yet again. At least it doesn’t have stevia added to the blend like nearly all of the new blends, but you’ve lost a customer. So crushed

Best Pumpkin Chai
My favourite David's Tea! Every fall I stock up on this tea and moderately dole out small amounts to make it last the entire year. It's full warmth, spice and subtly sweet, so you can enjoy it just with milk, or add sugar if you want to replicate a classic PSCL! By far my favourite Pumpkin Chai loose leaf, and I've tried many other brands!

Why
Why did you change the ingredients and use sorbitol ? It is a major migraine trigger for myself and others. So so sad This was by far the best tea ever! I bought large amounts of it every season. Most of your teas are being sweetened with sorbitol, agave and stevia all migraine triggers for me so I’m sadly left with nothing to buy and on the hunt for a new company that I can support. why not leave the teas blends unsweetened and let customers sweeten them themselves ?

A MUST HAVE
This tea is everything that I hoped for and more! Perfect for rainy fall days and I opened it the second I got it. The smell is amazing and the flavour is wow. I would recommend steeping it for 5-7 minutes to make sure the colour is a deep orange if you're pairing it with milk because it brings out more of the flavour. I added a bit of honey to mine for a little sweetness but even without and sweetner the flavour of the tea strong.

Not the same tea, SO disappointing
Ugh. Like many other reviewers I am grievously disappointed in this. I was *obsessed* with the previous pumpkin chai, could not get enough of it. Loaded up on like $50 worth for the season only to find it’s some black tea with a bit of weird coconut flavour to it. Would love my money back, especially since there was absolutely no communication that the ingredients had changed, so this feels like I got duped. Might try to salvage it by mixing some chai tea in with it, because there isn’t even a hint of chai spice in this blend. If they mess with Santa’s Secret this Christmas, I’m done with David’s…

Use to be one of my favourites
Every year I buy a large quantity of this tea and drink it though the year. It was one of my favs! Sadly, I did the same thing this year but the recipe has changes... I understand that David's Tea was trying to get away from artificial flavours but it has little candy sprinkles in it already. Anyway, it has a weird aftertaste, and now I am stuck with a big of amount of it that I won't drink because I don't like it anymore. Very disappointed, I am becoming more and more frustrated with David's tea retiring favourite flavours or changing the recipe...

Hello AlanaMS! We can confirm that the Pumpkin Chai tea currently being sold has a high caffeine rating. 🧡 You can double check the tea you have by comparing the ingredients listed on the package to the ingredients you see on the tea webpage right here. If you notice that you still have the previous recipe, then the tea in your package has a medium caffeine rating. If the ingredients match what you see online, the tea in your package has a high caffeine rating.
