I had tried a lavender earl grey London fog at a brunch restaurant a year ago and have not been able to forget it. So I just knew I need to get this tea to try and recreate it, and it was absolutely perfect! The lavender notes are clear and harmonious with the earl grey, if desired a little bit of sweetener adds the perfect balance of flavour, and of course this is to die for as a London fog. The bergamot is dominant to the nose and palate, but the lavender arrives afterward and softens that sharpness. I enjoyed the complexity of the competing florals. I used to love the lavender swirl which was discontinued. I switched to the Cream of Earl Grey, which is fantastic. This tea has the traditional flavour you would expect from an Earl Grey, slightly softened by the lavender.
