traditions worth sharing
Organic Korean Sejak is a sumptuous blend of traditional Korean flavours that marry both vegetal & nutty notes. Each cup is bursting with green herbs, cooked bamboo shoots and nutty aromas, leaving your palate enveloped in a wave of lasting taste. Sejak tea comes from shaded volcanic soil, resulting in a uniquely multifaceted flavour.
What makes it great:
- Both steamed and roasted, Korean teas are both vegetal & nutty in flavour.
- Ancient tea producing traditions make sejak one of the easiest-to-steep green teas we offer.
- Hand-picked in late April, our Korean Sejak comes from Jeju Island, one of Korea’s top 3 premium tea growing areas.
- Made with Yabukita, Geumgokrok and Hyeopsanhyang tea cultivars, the cup has a lasting and complex flavour.

I tried this tea a few months back in a tea wheel and I never felt such a connection with a green tea (prob since I'm not an avid green tea drinker). It tasted kind of woody yet buttery, gave me the vibes of walking through a forest with a calm breeze. I'm so sad they discontinued this, I hope they'll bring it back in loose leaves so I'll be able to buy some more instead of relying on tea wheels/tea samplers.

Lived in Korea and enjoyed countless many cups of traditional Korean green teas, so I think I have the street cred to vouch for this tea... If you like a good, straight-up traditional green tea then give this a try – just be sure to steep ~1tsp of it in hot water (not boiling since it'll burn the leaves and make it taste lousy) for around 4mins to get it just right :)

I've had Korean tea before years ago and loved it. The Korean store I used to buy it from closed. So happy to find this on David's Tea. It is a little like Japanese sencha but with more depth and a slight I don't know a "woodsy" flavour? It is a very pleasant unforgettable flavour and I will be buying more of it. I'm really happy to have found it again.

A good rule of thumb in the loose tea world is that a good pinch between your index/middle fingers and thumb is usually around 2 grams. You'll get better at eyeballing it with time. :D
