Saw fortune cookie chai was a new one and it sounded yummy so I grabbed it, and it might be my new favourite!! Reminds me of &ldquo;bubbie&rsquo;s baklava&rdquo;, warm and spicy but also has that sweet nutty/biscuity flavour. I don&rsquo;t normally leave reviews, but since this was a new one I just had to! Absolutely delicious, hope it&rsquo;s here to stay! Then a barista made me a hot latte using this tea at a David's Tea store and it was completely different and SO yummy! The barista steeped the tea for 8 mins and then added hot frothed oat milk. Delicious! My favs are things like Hot Chocolate, Hazelnut Chocolate, Red Velvet Cake, Nainaimo Bar, Cola Crush (Please Please bring this back, it was so unique! I use it in the afternoon as a pop replacement some times.), and Smore's Chai just to give you an idea of my flavor preferences. I purchased this more for my wife actually, who likes chai tea's more then I do. What I found surprised me. I find most chai's are kind of overpowering on the chai flavour itself, this is the first I've had that I didn't get that from. It's rather neutral, not to heavy on chai, not to sweet (for my tastes) it ends up being a nice neutral but still relaxing and enjoyable tea which I've decided to get more of. One note on my tea prep, I typically let tea steep in the strainer of a nordic mug starting with boiling water and then let sit for 22 minutes, remove strainer and enjoy. No milks, creams or sugars added. But at 1st sip I do not taste any cookie , A slight burnt Sugar tast with the chia back ground with more of a ginger after tast .which I don't mind I really chai ,its good I would say that this one just tastes like A regular chai .I would say i like jingle bell chai better . It was the yummy cardamom! Upon opening the package, the aroma of the cardamom was what stood out for the the most which remained the dominant flavour after steeping. I love cardamom, so I was very pleased with the dominant flavour. However, there wasn't enough of the &quot;buttery&quot; cookie flavour present. I loved the addition of the coconut to the traditional chai but wished there was more. Fortune cookies I have had don&rsquo;t have spice but I really enjoyed the tea. The spice is mild, similar to that of white pumpkin, but with a richer tea base. The only thing I didn&rsquo;t like was the slight fruity taste from the apple, wish they left that out and it&rsquo;s the only reason I gave it 4 stars.
