24 Trips with Tea Advent Calendar

I opted for this calendar this year as I don&rsquo;t like the sweetener that is added to some of the teas in the other calendar. I was easily able to make two larger cups of tea with the amount in the other calendar. I am unsure how I will actually be able to share this with my partner as we have really enjoyed our daily advent calendar tea in the past few years. For $55, which comes out to 41c per gram in this calendar, versus 27c per gram in the other calendar, I don&rsquo;t know that I could recommend this calendar. Rather than a small pot of loose-leaf tea (which I get two cups from), there is now only one pre-packaged tea bag. So I've paid the same amount as last year for half the amount. Compared with the other advent calendar (24 days of tea), this one has the teas in small packets instead of tins. Each packet contains enough tea for 2 cups. I prefer this overall, because the packets actually list the ingredients and steeping instructions for each blend, where the tins only give a name with no additional information. There is also a brief description of each tea on the back of that day's box. As a gift recipient, I would definitely want to know what the contents of each tea blend are. The only issue I have with the packets over the tins is that you can't reseal the packets after your first cup - you could tape them shut I suppose. The selection of teas is quite good, although I would have liked to see a few less tisanes and instead another white tea and maybe a pu'erh as well. I understand the concept, but I wish there was more focus on Christmas since that is the reason people buy advent calendars. I also miss the tins because it is easier to store for later. If you are making them into bags, then put them into tea bags, as it is hard to keep the tea from falling out.
