I used to carefully clean it by hand and then lay it on a towel to air dry, but I was worried about the whisk losing it's shape over time so I got the whisk holder to help me dry it properly while still retaining it's shape. It's a handy little accessory, especially for those of us who drink a lot of matcha. :)</span>

<span itemprop="description">I wish I had read the other reviews that pointed this out first. Mine just arrived and I can confirm that it indeed does not fit the whisk - it is too tall for the bristles to wrap around the curve. Thus it doesn't stay on and just pops off the top.</span>
