When mixed, it's great! I top it off with some oat milk to make it creamy (no frother, sadly) and am satisfied with the results. Other notes: - Not as bright green and fresh tasting as higher-quality matchas - I didn't find the vanilla too overpowering and didn't notice the coconut flavour others have mentioned - Average price when compared to other stores - Still hoping for a more environmentally-friendly packaging, esp. for smaller quantity items like 50g of matcha.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2020-11-07</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2020-11-07" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="230672588"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">4</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">Kelsea</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Great for baking or learning to love matcha!</span> <span itemprop="description">A fair amount for the price, the grind is very fine and easily combines with milk or water. The vanilla is not over powering or fake tasting. A very creamy vanilla. However! I would only recommend this matcha to beginners or those who don&rsquo;t like a strong flavour. Although it&rsquo;s delicious it&rsquo;s not very strong. Some one who really enjoys matcha and the strong grassy flavour may not love this one... but if you&rsquo;re like me and enjoy matcha in baking as well it would be great for that. An awesome in between of affordable and flavour for baking.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2020-04-06</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2020-04-06" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="240283992"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">4</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">Mystra</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Yummy, but doesn't taste much like Matcha.</span> <span itemprop="description">Just like the mocha matcha, this tea tasted quite good, but not really much like matcha. It's fairly sweet (definitely doesn't need added sweetener), and the flavour isn't very strong (which is why I suppose it recommends using 5 spoons of these flavoured matchas rather than 2 for the regular matchas). I think I liked this one slightly more than the mocha matcha, but I probably wouldn't order either one again, unless they were very on sale. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone looking for a more traditional matcha taste, but if you're just getting into matcha, or prefer your matcha very sweet, this might be a good fit for you.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2020-12-19</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2020-12-19" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="270280822"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">1</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">Beenie</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Not for those who like a high quality matcha</span> <span itemprop="description">Bought 2 tins which came as 95g each for only $38 which was a great deal to me as matcha can be pretty expensive when on a budget. Sad to say it was quite disappointing. First the color was very off-putting - brownish green rather than the bright vibrant green im used to with ceremonial grade. Besides that, didnt taste much like matcha?? It was really strange to me, vegetal is the best way to describe it. Also had to use quite a bit of powder to taste anything at all, just had to keep adding and adding. Will continue to use and maybe mix with my ceremonial grade so I dont waste it, but definitely not going to repurchase</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2023-06-05</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2023-06-05" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="220621824"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">Fezzywezzy</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Best Matcha</span> <span itemprop="description">This is my absolute favorite tea. The vanilla flavour adds a creamy flavour to this deliciously healthy tea. You really don't even need to add any sweetener to it. I make it hot with creamy foam on top for cold days and iced with cold foam on top for hot days. I love that it doesn't overstimulate me like coffee can but that it still gives me a nice energy lift without the crash.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2019-06-05</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2019-06-05" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="267994438"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">1</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">disappointedmatch</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Horrible! Please save your money</span> <span itemprop="description">First of all, the colour is horrendous. The photo used to advertise this product is entirely misleading, the powder itself isn't that bright (that photo shows more of what is consistent with ceremonial matcha). This powder is a muddier darker green. After pouring in hot water to mix, the powder turns into a green that borders on being brown. Before you ask if my powder was expired (I wondered the same!) - No! It wasn't. I had bought it in-store the day before and even checked the pack to ensure it was still new and well within its shelf life. If you were to use this for baking, perhaps it would work. But definitely nowhere near high-quality enough to enjoy as a drink. If you'd like a nice matcha latte, do yourself a favour and buy ceremonial-grade matcha (I haven't tried David's tea specifically, but you can get one online elsewhere too) and add a pump or two of vanilla syrup to enhance the flavour instead of making one with this.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2023-03-28</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2023-03-28" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="243400739"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">nursecocobakes</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Best matcha cupcakes &amp; matcha truffles</span> <span itemprop="description">This is the perfect matcha! I've only had a few matches before (the ceremonial which has been discontinued and the turmeric glow which is also being discontinued) but this is definitely my favourite and will hopefully never be pulled! It's great if you mix it up with some hot water (using their matcha whisk which is also amazing) then pour it into an equal amount of warm milk. No sugar required! It's my go-to before bed!
