It doesn't taste original at all! It also does not taste like it has rose petals in it, either. While I love Cream of Earl Grey, I was not looking to buy more of it - I wanted a NEW tea... so I was very disappointed in this tea, as a whole. From what I have read, most people (especially longtime super steepers &amp;/or those with tea passions like myself) seem to agree. Just enough rose and super creamy. I'm not sure what the other reviewers complaining it's too similar to Cream of Earl Grey expected. If you actually read the description then you know davidstea actually blatantly said it's supposed to taste like Cream of Earl Grey minus the bergamot. The rose pairs perfectly with black tea as a dark base for those creamy floral notes. There is nothing artificial in this tea, despite how some other reviewers seem to have reacted - it's just a matter of taste I suppose. If you don't like floral teas this one might not be for you. I love a good black tea and love a good floral tea even more so the prospect of a floral black tea sounded great. After trying it the first time as a tea latte, I was sold! It made a lovely fragrant rose latte that did not taste too overwhelming or artificial. I was so impressed, I came back to grab the tin because I wanted this to be a part of my staple tea lineup! I also very much love the flavour and aroma of rose, and was extremely happy with this tea! It is flavourful and really a lovely change of pace. I will buy more, and I hope they keep it.
