It's so close to being a new favourite, but slightly misses the mark for me. I will have to try another cup or two to make up my mind. My first impressions of it were: ginger, pepper, and chili, with faint background notes of cocoa and cinnamon. The cardamom is not as prominent as I had thought it would be. It's a very strong blend. Almost to the point where my eyes want to water. I was advised to try it as a latte, so I drowned it in cream and put a good amount of sugar in it, and it's much better with the additions. If you plan to drink this "plain" I would suggest trying to brew it at half strength first. I'm not loving the chili in this. Almost gives a burning sensation as you drink it. The overall flavour aside from this is very good and quite well blended. Quite similar to Glitter Chai, but I prefer this one. If you like Chai you will probably like this tea, just be careful how you prepare it. It packs a punch.
Date published: 2020-03-02

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kate T from Great Chai Just got this as a sample and would definitely buy more. I love this Chai Pur'erh! It is now one of my favorites offered by David's tea. It has a great aroma, and great spice with the inclusion of black pepper and chili. Yet, still has a somewhat traditional feel with the cardamon. I appreciate that it has no added sugar. I personally like to drink it hot with some added splenda and soy milk.
Date published: 2020-03-12

Rated 3 out of 5 by janetpolelondon from Meh All I could taste was HEAT ...
