Sleepy Lychee Tea

The silver lime blossom (aka linden) puts me right to sleep. But what's amazing about this tea is the taste! The lychee is rich, sweet, and floral... It's like a dream. The lemongrass and pineapple add sweetness without overpowering the taste, and then you get a soothing jasmine finish. This tea got me through some trouble sleeping in the winter, and I've switched to drinking it iced now that it's summer, and it's absolutely amazing either way. While I can't honestly say it has any impact on falling asleep, it is a deliciously comforting way to wind down before bed. I have found to get the full flavor, I need to use a little more tea than I would with others. which is maybe the one small knock against it, but it's so light you get a lot of bang for your buck. I do let it steep a lot longer than others as well. There is a hint of lychee flavor and I can certainly pick up on the Jasmine but it's not overpowering - just an overall fruity/floral flavor that is slightly sweet. The rose smells comes out and it help me to sleep because this tea smells so good! I was a bit sceptical of picking this one up with my order, but I absolutely love lychee, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try it. I'm really glad I did too, as this has quickly become one of my favourite teas, and is now part of my daily rotation. The lychee taste isn&rsquo;t overpowering, which I think is usually an issue with anything lychee-flavoured. Plus, it&rsquo;s nice and relaxing! Finally, it&rsquo;s a very light tea, so you get a lot of bang for your buck! I was wonderfully surprised. I had read the reviews, but truthfully never heard about or seen this tea before. It was new to me. Sleepy Lychee so surpassed my expectations :) From the moment I opened the seal.....it was divine. The scent was intoxicating. The flavors and aroma upon being steeped did not disappoint. Lovely floral and sweet. Added benefit, there is no caffeine. It is ideal for an evening sipper before bed. While you can smell lychee in the tin and the jasmine comes out right at the start of steeping, they are quickly covered by strong lemongrass! My mother hit the nail on the head when she described the flavour as a sickly sweet yellow sucker- It's quite sweet and very lemony!
